Almost
I almost wish I were still in Switzerland, so I could witness some of the overseas reactions to the election. I think it is so cool, and so telling, that so much of the world is rejoicing at Obama's election. I have a few friends over there still and they've said how excited they are that they feel proud to be an American again, rather than constantly apologizing for Bush and his actions. Yay for progress.

In my entire life, I have not seen the joyous reaction of a president elect in this country spill over to other countries such as it has this week. It really is amazing!!!!
I agree. Here in Spain I have many of my Spanish friends congratulate me on our new president. I think the world sighed a sigh of relief when Obama won. There's a Spanish expression that goes, when America has a cold, the whole world sneezes.
Meh. I wish I didn't know so many people here who are having the opposite reactions.
Like the kid at my son's elementary school who said on Wednesday that we're all going to die now that Obama's been elected.
The reaction is pretty strong here too. I think the nation is going to become a little more upbeat.
@kadair - Eek, poor kid. Scary how people actually think that. I mean even when Bush got re-elected I didn't hear people saying we were all gonna die.
@mightymarce - I've been appalled by the things my kids have told me they've heard at school during this election. I suppose during the last election they weren't old enough to pay attention (nor were their classmates, of course.)
I've got a blog in the making on the topic of schools right now... tune in soon.
I think the world has breathed a collective sigh of relief.
Your little guy was ADORABLE in the cow costume! Awwww- he's growing soooo fast.
Best of luck with your new at-home mom adventure. Have I told you about connectingmoms.com ? They have some entreprenuer mommy groups you might like.
I rejoice with you here! I am still happy! Obama is hope for the USA. I know he isn't a miracle worker but maybe if others would unite in the hope we can achieve more.
I am finally proud to be an American again!!
